Becoming Unapologetic

Becoming Unapologetic

What does it really mean to be unapologetic? Does it mean being reckless? Running around doing and saying irresponsible things with no consideration of consequences? Absolutely not. We all have the ability to find our unapologetic self, but we need to be clear what it is and what it means.

Becoming unapologetic means living without regret, being unashamed and uncompromising in your quest for happiness and fulfillment.

Here are FIVE ACTIONS

you can take today

to move towards

becoming unapologetic.

1.

YOUR INTUITION IS REAL: LISTEN TO IT!

Listen to what your body and senses are telling you. If something doesn’t feel right in your ‘gut’ it is because your brain has already figured it out and is trying to let you know. Did you know that your subconscious mind makes up 95% of your total brain power? Ninety. Five. Percent. Your mind is working hard – trust it.

2.

MAKE A MOVE

When is the perfect time to change jobs? Never. When is the perfect time to start a side business? Never. When is the perfect time to begin that art project? Never. There will never be a right time, so just do it. Do it wrong and fix it later. Or do it partially and finish it later. But take action TODAY.

3.

SPEAK YOUR MIND...

BUT DON’T WEAPONIZE YOUR HONESTY.

Being unapologetic means truly speaking your mind, but in a way that enlightens, benefits or clarifies to others. Be genuine even if it causes discomfort but don’t think ‘but I was just being honest’ is an excuse for causing pain to others. Speaking from the heart paves the way to authentic relationships built on trust.

4.

ENRICH YOUR MIND

Your mind is like a cup with no bottom; it can be filled forever. So fill it! Embrace opportunities to learn, observe how others behave and think, fill your mind with content that adds character and enriches your perspective.

5.

CHOOSE CAREFULLY WHO SURROUNDS YOU

You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with so surround yourself with others who also live authentically and unapologetically. The math says you will rise to the higher bar. Now that is empowering!
